A 6,500 sq.ft. modern villa in Raipur with floor-to-ceiling slim sliding windows, a frameless glass balcony railing, and high-performance laminated glazing — designed to bring uninterrupted views into the living spaces while standing up to Raipur’s dust and 45 °C summers.

The Brief

The clients — a young family relocating from Mumbai — wanted their new Raipur home to feel as transparent and modern as a beachside villa, without compromising on thermal comfort during peak summer. The architect specified slim sightlines, large operable shutters, and a continuous balcony view from the upper floor.

The Solution

We specified the GRETO Vista slim sliding system for all primary openings — the 17 mm interlock allowed shutter heights of nearly 4 meters in the living room while keeping the visible aluminium narrow. The upper floor balcony uses a frameless glass railing system anchored to a powder-coated aluminium base channel. Triple glazing with laminated glass on the west-facing facade keeps cooling load and outside dust under control.

Outcome

Indoor temperatures stayed 6–8 °C below outside on a 44 °C afternoon during commissioning. The owners report that the slim profiles look almost frameless from inside. The build was completed in 11 weeks from first survey to handover.
